There are a lot of restaurants in Asheville and the surrounding areas, not all of them great. In fact, there are only about a dozen or so that ASIA Bed & Spa would recommend to our guests. And in the course of wandering and exploring the area I've found another.
The Stony Knob Cafe in Weaverville, a 10 minute drive from our Inn.
Stony Knob is very charming inside. A converted diner with several additions/expansions, including heated patio seating and a fireplace lounge, it's both homey and eclectic, with a strong local clientele. The menu is diverse and includes plenty of options for vegetarians.
According to the website it's been family owned and operated for 40 years and it feels that way. Stony Knob Cafe is at its heart, a family joint, a local favorite. It's ambience is eclectic and friendly, like Asheville itself.
